Human 15mm Sci-fi Troops GZG DPRG

Just finished these Human troops, probably GZG 15mm but I can't identify them on their website. Gave them desert camo helmet covers and body armour over green fatigues.

They will need some transport -  I fancy some low tech for them, maybe QRF Bufffels or something similar.

Nearly 4 years later -  I've got the models now, but the assembly looks a little complicated. Might be a while before they reach their units...

  1. They are DPRG troopers from the range dedicated from that corny Sci-Fi ruleset produced by Osprey Military...

...Osprey Military has spent so much time diffusing half-truths or outright lies about military history they figured that they could make more money by going full-Sci-Fi...something that according to me they had already been doing since decades...

  2. Ha ha! Great comment, thank you Kull :)
I tend to think of Osprey books as a starting point for further research. I can't comment on their rules as I haven't yet found a commercial set of scifi rules that fulfill my needs.

    1. Of course I meant to type: "dedicated TO that corny Sci-Fi rueleset"...

...hello, meet my bad typing skills on two fingers...

...jokes aside the DPRG range from GZG is very good, they should expand it a bit with some support weapons like gun-mortars, heavy autocannon or ATGMs...the tracked IFV which looks like a soviet MT-LB goes great with it...and the smallish tracked MBT looks like a light/dependable tank to be mass produced in the factory lines of some future collectivist state.

Khurasan Miniatures' "Insurgent Humans in Helmets and Flak Vests" are another very good range for near future mid-to-low tech troops.

    2. Ahh yes, Khurasan.. now there are some great figures, but I find them too expensive for my pocket! As for the GZG support equipment , I love the quad tractors of which I have two, waiting for a space on the painting desk. The quads come with a heavy weapon mounting. I've also seen some APCs and other armour from QRF which as well as being good value also are clearly based on current designs and so look very 'next generation'. Tghanks for your comment. Sorry it took me so long to reply - been crazy busy this summer!
